The 10th Annual Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP) National Collegiate Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia at the fabulous Renaissance Waverly Hotel located in Northwest Atlanta near Marietta.  The contest events will be held both on the campuses of our host - Chatahoochee Technical College as well as at the hotel itself. There was a welcome reception, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, hands-on programming contests in Systems Analysis & Design, Java, VisualStudio, FrontPage, Network Design, Database, COBOL, Student Papers, Student Chapter websites.

Ten people from our organization attended this conference, with the majority of the executive board attending. We entered various competitions that included a Web Design, Chapter Website, Database Design, Network Design, PC Troubleshooting, Java, and COBOL. Next years Secretary placed in the top 15 in the Java competition which was a great accomplishment. We also attend a LAN gaming party in which one our members Pat won an award. We attended various keynote speakers and seminars. Some of the more interesting and informative ones were on: Windows 2003 Server Active Directory, Security, Video Game Programming, Encryption, and Wal-Mart's RFID technology. Again it was a very enjoyable social event with all of us going out together whether it was to eat, shop, or just throw the frisbee around. It was great meeting other members from other parts of the country. It was a great learning experience for us all.
