About the Chapter:

The EIU chapter of AITP is a professional organization of students who have an interest in information technology. AITP is also a national professional association of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential. Student and professional chapters of AITP are located at universities and metropolitan areas throughout the United States. AITP members listen to guest speakers from various IT professionals at successful companies, go on tours of companies, attend national conferences, and network with other students and professionals within the IT industry.

AITP at EIU thrives on networking. We all know why you are in college in the first place; to ultimately lead to a rewarding job. AITP connects with many employers and recruiters. Through our club, you have opportunities that others simply won't!

In 2009, AITP will feature guest speakers, networking events, workshops (fellow members teach tips and tricks), tours of facilities, and most of all: Fun! AITP also sponsors a LAN party every semester open to EVERYONE (even non-members).
