Eastern Illinois University has served as the largest public provider of K-12 sponsored programs for the last 15 years in the region and the State of Illinois. Programs offered through the School of Continuing Education are representative of all the academic areas at Eastern Illinois University. The School of Continuing Education at Eastern Illinois University has been approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a provider for professional development activities.
Many certified teachers in Illinois must engage in professional development activities to renew their certificates. As an approved provider of professional development activities, participants attending approved workshops, institutes, seminars and conferences offered by the School of Continuing Education will be eligible to earn Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) and Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDU’s).
