Evening Degrees

The evening program markets on-campus programs for adults who cannot attend classes during the day. These bachelor and masters degree programs offer all classes at 4 p.m. or later. Normal admssion and graduation requirements apply; please see the appropriate department website for current information.

Bachelor of Arts in General Studies Degree Program
This program offers maximum flexibility for working adults who seek to complete an undergraduate education. This program is available at EIU and all off-campus sites.

Bachelor in Science in Career and Organizational Studies
This program is designed for adult learners who can earn credit for work-related experiences. The program is available at EIU and also in the Champaign-Urbana and Danville areas.

Bachelor in Science in Geography/Geology
This program is designed to provide each student with a strong, broad background in geology and/or geography, yet is sufficiently flexible to allow students freedom to follow their own interests. This program is available during the evening on the EIU campus.

Master of Arts, Gerontology
The purpose of this multidisciplinary program is to provide an in-depth study of Gerontology for both potential professionals and current practitioners working in the field.

Master of Science, Family and Consumer Sciences
The School will prepare students to improve the global society through its life span perspective and with an applied integrative focus on individual and family development, nutrition and health, consumer affairs, merchandising, and hospitality management.

Master's of Business Administration
Eastern's MBA program addresses a broad range of business-related skills emphasizing a combination of teamwork, writing, contemporary global issues, and analytical skills. The MBA program is structured to meet the needs to both full- and part-time students.

Master of Science, Technology
The program is designed to provide students with opportunities for developing advanced professional, technical, and personal competencies in the field of technology.

Specialist Degree in Educational Administration
This degree provides the necessary coursework for graduates to secure the Illinois State Board of Education Certification to be a Superintendent of Schools.
