Come join the over 300 members representing communities from all over the state of Illinois . The Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association was established to promote the general and professional interest of the municipal treasurers in their respective communities, to obtain a higher standard of efficiency, to improve service with allied institutions and to inspire friendly and fraternal relationships amongst its members. These goals are accomplished by providing:
- a certification program
- continuing education through seminars and conferences which are designed to assist the Municipal Treasurers with a means to keep abreast of changes affecting their role in municipal government
- Treasurers Institute is designed to fulfill the educational requirements necessary for professional designation of certification at the state and national level
- Quarterly publication of the IMTA's newsletter Prime Times
