Overview

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION W/BUSINESS EDUCATION (CTEB)
Students who graduate with an emphasis in Business Education are prepared and certified to teach classes in accounting, basic/general business, and information systems. Examples of courses include business law, economics, consumer education, management, computer applications, Web page design, and communications. Business education students receive endorsements in all possible business areas except computer programming.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION W/TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION (CTET)
Students who graduate with an emphasis in Technology Education are prepared and certified to teach classes in communication technology, production technology, transportation technology, and energy utilization technology. More familiar course titles might include electronics, computer technology, printing, desktop publishing, drafting, building construction, and manufacturing. There is an extreme need in Illinois and across the country for technology education teachers.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION W/FAMILY CONSUMER SCIENCES EDUCATION (CTEF)
Students who graduate with an emphasis in Family and Consumer Sciences are prepared and certified to teach classes in human development/child development; interpersonal and family relationships and parenting; consumer and resource management; housing, interior furnishings, and living environments; food and nutrition, food service, and hospitality; and clothing, textiles, and fashion.
