    • EIU Student journal Historia won 1st place in national Phi Alpha Theta (national History Honors Society) competititon
    • 13 students were inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honors society
    • History grad. student won best thesis award at EIU
    • History grad student won Hampton Scholarship (best incoming grad student)
    • 3 current students and 7 alumni published articles in professional journals
    • 100% of Historical Administration graduates found employment in field
    • 3 M.A. graduate students were accepted to PhD programs and 2 into law school
    • Over a dozen H.A. alumni are on professional boards, etc.
