Chair Sterling called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
I. Minutes
On the motion of Simpson and second of Swords, the minutes of 12/08/10 were approved by acclamation.
II. Items added to the agenda
On the motion of Wolski and second of Swords, the following items were added to the agenda for the next meeting by acclamation:
• 10.14 New course proposal MDVL 2000G, Intro to Medieval Studies
• 10.15 New course proposal HIC 2000G, Introduction to the Humanities
• 10.16 New course proposal EIU 4100G, Culture Matters
III. Agenda Items to be acted upon
• 10.12 Proposed Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Writing
Drs. Ringuette and Hoberman presented the proposal and addressed questions from the committee. Motion made (Swords) and seconded (Simpson) to approve. Item approved unanimously (9-0)
• 10.13 New course proposal FILM 4275 Film Studies Internship
Dr. Murray presented the proposal. After discussion, the item was tabled for future consideration.
The meeting adjourned at 3:12 p.m.
