Chair Sterling called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
I. Minutes
On the motion of Hoerschelmann and second of Wolski, the minutes of 01/26/11 were approved unanimously.
II. Agenda Items acted upon
• 10.17 Proposed Revision to catalog copy for Departmental Honors in History
Dr. Coit presented the proposal and addressed questions from the committee. Motion made (Swords) and seconded (Kammerling) to approve. Item approved unanimously with minor revision (8-0)
• 10.18 New course proposal HIS 3120, Ancient Egypt
Dr. Patterson presented the proposal and addressed questions from the committee. Motion made (Hoerschelmann) and seconded (Swords) to approve. Item approved unanimously with minor revisions (8-0)
• 10.19 New course proposal HIS 3130, Iraq and the Ancient Near East
Dr. Patterson presented the proposal and addressed questions from the committee. Motion made (Swords) and seconded (Kim) to approve. Item approved unanimously with minor revisions (8-0)
• 10.23 Proposed Revision to English Graduate Studies Curriculum
Dr. Hoberman presented the proposal. Motion made (Wolski) and seconded (Swords) to approve. Item approved unanimously (8-0)
III. Items added to the agenda
On the motion of Kammerling and second of Swords, the following items were unanimously added to the agenda:
