Fall 2017 PLAY After-School Program Sites

Our office offers 8 different PLAY (Positive Learning for Active Youth) after school programs that our EIU Panthers provide the person power for. We are looking for volunteers who can make a weekly 2-hour commitment for 10 weeks during the semester. As a PLAY volunteer, you have the opportunity to be a mentor to local elementary aged kids, help them with their homework, act as a role model and build genuine relationships with kids who need a positive connection with an adult! See below for site descriptions, days and times! Please visit the application or email volunteer@eiu.edu with any questions you may have!

*If your organization would like to sign up as a group to volunteer at Salvation Army as a part of our PLAY program, please sign up here. You may sign up for the entire semester or just one week for your group.

Explore EIU with Teen Reach

Volunteers will be working with  middle school aged children to show them around EIU and engage them in various activities across campus. Most of the children who are in the Teen Reach program are underprivileged and we are hoping the connections that they can make with the college volunteers will be a good influence for them. The children will be excited to be on campus and have that one on one time with a college volunteer.
