WebCT is a web-based course management tool. It includes teaching and
learning tools, content management, and a personalized appearance to name
a few things. To find out specifics on WebCT, check their website at http://www.webct.com/
How can I put a link to my WebCT course from my own
web space?
The following formats may be used to create web links to your course.
Please substitute <COURSE_NUMBER> where it occurs in the
following information with your own unique value.
- Location of your course:
http://www.vce.eiu.edu:8989/SCRIPT/<COURSE_NUMBER>/scripts/serve_home
- Location of your welcome page (if used):
http://www.vce.eiu.edu:8989/public/<COURSE_NUMBER>/index.html
- Location of your self-account creation page (if used):
http://www.vce.eiu.edu:8989/webct/public/guest.pl?<COURSE_NUMBER>
Instead of having students type in these rather long addresses, you could
create a web page that has links to your specific course.
