Cellular Service
Cellular Service for University business use is available from Verizon Wireless through the EIU Telecommunications Office. Since cellular rates are constantly changing, please call the Telecommunications Office at 581-5951 for more information. Rates start as low as 6¢ per minute, with no monthly access fee, under the State of Illinois Plan in Central Illinois, and no minimum usage.
Pager Service
Numeric or alpha pagers are available at $11.00 per month. Pager service includes the following:
- Basic Central Illinois Coverage*
- Rental of One number or Alpha Pager**
- Pager Insurance ($15 deductible)
- One local or Statewide 800 DID Number
- 325 Free Pages per Month (10¢ thereafter, 15¢ for alpha)
- One Additional User Selectable Illinois Zone*
- E-Mail Address (Alpha Pagers)
- Follow-Me Roaming
- Voice Mail Service
- Information Updates (Alpha Pagers)
