The School of Technology has always placed a very high value on its relationship with community colleges. Since the mid 1960s the school has had many formal and informal relationships leading to "2 + 2's" and program level articulations.
Students who complete the A.S. or the A.A. degree will be admitted to the university with the majority or all general education requirements met. The School of Technology works very closely with students who complete the A.A.S. (Associate of Applied Science) degree to meet the University's general education requirements. The school has developed an extensive list of equivalent courses with majority of Illinois community colleges and will update this on a regular basis.
Transcripts for students with transfer work will also be evaluated by the school on a course-for-course basis to determine additional degree requirements that have been satisfied.
