Financial Aid

To determine eligibility for state or federal financial assistance, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for consideration. FAFSA forms are available in the Office of Financial Aid and online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Potential sources of aid includes grants, loans, federal work-study, short-term (emergency) loans, veteran's benefits, state of Illinois programs, or the Army ROTC.

Scholarships and Awards

The OPD Program is committed to providing scholarships and awards to recognize academic excellence and to make the OPD Program affordable for working adults. The Felstehausen-Boldrey Excellence Scholarship and the Organizational and Professional Development Student Excellence Award are the two awards available.

Felstehausen-Boldrey Excellence Scholarship

The Felstehausen-Boldrey Fund was established to strengthen and support the Organizational and Professional Development Program at Eastern Illinois University in the following three areas: Student Awards, OPD Faculty Development, and Program Development. In order to request funding, please write a brief proposal related to one of those areas. The criteria for each area are listed below.

Eligibility: Current OPD student, who has completed 75 total semester hours, 6 hours of which are OPD courses, & a 3.0 GPA.

Availability: Number of recipients vary. Awarded two times per year.

Renewability: Non renewable

Award Type: Cash and Plaque

Organizational and Professional Development Student Excellence Award

The Organizational and Professional Development Student Excellence Award is presented annually to a Organizational and Professional Development student demonstrating excellence in academics, leadership in learning settings, and a desire to continuously learn and grow. The recipient receives a cash award and a plaque made available by the Organizational and Professional Development alumni at an awards ceremony held each Spring on EIU's campus. 

Eligibility: Current OPD student

Availability: 1 award per year

Renewability: Non renewable

Award Type: Cash and Plaque

How to Apply: A fellow OPD student must download, complete, and mail application. Nominees will be notified.
