The University Board Concerts Committee at Eastern Illinois University is proud to present live in concert at Lantz Arena, Hip-Hop Artist - Fetty Wap as the EIU Spring Concert 2018 headline artist.

Fetty Wap rose to prominence in 2015 after his breakout hit, the Grammy-nominated, triple-platinum track "Trap Queen," reached number two on the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100" chart. The single eventually earned the rapper two Grammy nominations for "Best Rap Song" and "Best Rap". He released his eponymous debut album later that year, featuring additional his singles "My Way" and "679," reaching gold and platinum status respectively, the latter also going triple-platinum.

His fourth single"Again" cemented his spot in history as the "First" artist ever to simultaneously chart his inaugural four songs in the Top 10 of the "Billboard Hot Rap Songs Chart." Additional accomplishments included becoming the "First artist since Eminem to land 3 songs in the Top 20 of the "Billboard Hot 100", the "First" artist to take 3 spots on the Shazam Global 200 Chart" and the "Artist to Watch" Award at 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

Since 2015, Fetty Wap has released a variety of EP's and mixtapes, his "For My Fans III: The Final Chapter" in January and his follow-up full-length album, King Zoo, expected to be released in 2018. On the road, Fetty Wap stands out as a dynamic and unforgettable live presence. His shows bring that infectious energy from the record to life.
