  • If you are an EIU student in an emergency situation and would like to speak with a counselor, please call 217-581-3413.
  • If you are assaulted and would like a SACIS advocate present with you at the hospital, call 217-348-5033 or toll-free at 888-345-2846.

Counseling Center

The EIU Counseling Center is available to meet with all students who may be impacted by sexual violence.

To make an appointment call the office at 217-581-3413. The Counseling Center is located in the Human Services Building. For additional information click here.

Reporting Options

We encourage anyone who has been assault or endangered to contact one of the three reporting office, University Police Department, Office of Student Standards, or Office of Civil Rights.

Request a Presentation

Members of the sexual violence prevention team are willing to come talk to groups, classes, floors, etc.

Discussions can focus on consent, reporting options, or merely the education of sexual misconduct. Request a presentation today!

EIU/Community Resources

There are many support and resources services available at EIU and in the Charleston Community. The Counseling Center and Health Service are on-campus facilities.
