Established in 2011, this scholarship was created in recognition of the significant research, education, and community outreach in the field of Health Studies completed by Dr. Joseph W. Pankau. The intent of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for student(s) majoring in Health Studies with a focus of their studies in the field of health administration. Criteria for selection are as follows: Must be a full-time student accepted to Eastern Illinois University majoring in Health Studies with a preference to a student within the Health Administration Option. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is a consideration. The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria. The award(s) shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall to Eastern Illinois University to first be applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
