Established in 2013, The Angel Annual Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students was created to provide assistance to students enrolled in the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) Program. Eligible students must be full-time or part-time, majoring in the Bachelor of Arts General Studies Program, accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient(s) must have a GPA of 3.0 and financial need is a primary consideration. Recipient(s) shall have a proven track record of making steady progress towards degree completion and are eligible to receive again if he/she continues to meet criteria. Recipient(s) must submit a 350-word statement addressing how attending college and the BGS program has impacted his/her life as an adult, non-traditional student. The award(s) shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
