Established in 2001 by Sherry McCoy, an EIU alumnus, to honor her family, this award is given to an undergraduate student at Eastern who is enrolled in at least 12 semester hours of coursework; majoring in Finance, Accountancy, or Education; and has an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Applicants must complete a one or two page personal reflection on an influential person in their life to demonstrate character. Recipients may reapply for the award provided they meet the criteria and are selected again. The award is issued in the Fall Semester only and paid directly to the university for tuition, fees, and housing. Applications will become available on February 15, 2013.
