Students Excelling at National Level

After commencement, we get a chance to catch our breath and reflect on how our students excel in many ways at the national level. A recent example is this team of EIU health studies majors: Emily Schumacher, Caitlin Clancy, and Ericka Duncan.

The trio took first place in the American Association for Health Education's 2012 National Undergraduate Case Study Competition in Boston with a case study titled BUST!: A Program to Reduce Underage Drinking in Boston Public Schools.

I'm proud of the ways our faculty and staff support our students in their academic, professional and personal development -- ways that show when our students take what they have learned and achieve at a very high level as Emily, Caitlin and Ericka have.
