Lakeview College of Nursing

In the year 2000, Lakeview College of Nursing and Eastern Illinois University created a program that would enable pre-nursing students from EIU to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) from Lakeview College of Nursing.  The process begins at Eastern Illinois University and the degree is granted from Lakeview College of Nursing (not EIU) upon the successful completion of all classes.

As part of the agreement, EIU will provide general education/pre-nursing courses and advisement for pre-nursing students on
Eastern’s campus. Following completion of their general education courses, pre-nursing students then apply to Lakeview to complete the nursing component of their education.

Students choosing to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Lakeview College of Nursing will have the convenience of having their professional nursing courses delivered to Lakeview's Charleston campus (located 8 blocks west of EIU's Old Main).
