Professor Anderson Recognized for his Teaching Excellence

On November 29, 2012, Dr. Kevin Anderson of the Political Science Department was recognized as one of Eastern Illinois University’s 2012 Achievement and Contribution Award Recipients. This award recognizes faculty excellence in Teaching, Research and Service, and Professor Anderson was given an award for his accomplishments in the Teaching area. Students who have taken Dr. Anderson readily attest to the enthusiasm and energy that be brings to each of his thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating class sessions--from the introductory American Government and Political Thought courses on through his upper-division courses on African American Politics, Classic and Contemporary Political Theory, African American Political Theory and American Political Thought.
