To access the new PAWS (Banner) system you will need to your NET ID and a password. Every EIU student is assigned a NET ID when they are first admitted.

The NET ID is the same as your EIU email address without the @eiu.edu.

Typically your NET ID is a combination of your initials and last name and possible a number. For example if your name was Maynard G. Krebs your NET ID might be mgkrebs.

If you don’t know what your NET ID is, search for yourself in EIU’s web page phone book (top of EIU’s main web page at www.eiu.edu). Find your entry which has (Student) or (Gradstu) after your name. Your NET ID will be listed below.

The password that you use for the new PAWS system is the same as your email password. If you don’t know your password, contact the EIU Help Desk at 217-581-HELP (4357).
