The EIU Campus Map project was started in Fall 2003 by TEC 5343 students Doug Winter, Kevin Blatnik, Christy Blew, and Tom Tong in coordination with the EIU Web team.

The goal of the project was to create an interactive site for the campus map that would allow for better navigation for users. As well, information in regards to selected campus buildings would be added.

The site design was selected to complement the current EIU website and the selection to download and print a static campus map fulfilled requirements for the pages to be accessible to all individuals.
