The Early Childhood Education major at EIU emphasizes educational practices in birth through third grade. Students who select this option will complete a subject matter area of concentration in Family and Consumer Sciences or Special Education.

This option will lead to an Early Childhood Certificate (birth through third grade).


Students will select one of the following concentration options: Child and Family Studies; Early Childhood Special Education
