Marketing is the area of business that provides products - goods, services, and ideas - to satisfy customer needs. Marketing professionals are responsible for determining what products a business will offer, communicating information about those products, pricing the products, and making the products available where and when customers want them.

You can prepare for a marketing career by majoring in marketing, one of five business majors offered by Eastern Illinois University?s School of Business. EIU?s School of Business is student-centered and fosters relationship-driven learning between students and faculty.

Marketing students in the School of Business can reach their potential through a variety of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. All marketing and business classes are taught by faculty members ? not graduate students ? using collaborative and project based learning as well as more traditional teaching methods.
