Using Lynda.com @ EIU

All EIU students, faculty, and staff have free 24/7 unlimited access from your iPhone, iPad, Android device, or mobile phone, to Lynda.com, an online subscription library that offers the latest software tools and skills through high-quality instructional videos taught by recognized industry experts. The Lynda.com campus license (LyndaCampus) is provided by ATAC and ITS at no cost to faculty, staff, or students.  Anyone with an active EIU Net ID may access Lynda.com training videos using the link provided from the left menu on or off campus and through D2L using the  Lynda.com widget.

Login procedure for Lynda.com:

  • Click "Login to Lynda.com" on the left menu of this page.  
  • Enter your EIU Net ID and password to access your Lynda.com account.  

Accessing Lynda.com within D2L:

  Cick on the Lynda.com icon from the right panel


NOTE: Everyone with an EIU Net ID and password has a Lynda.com account.  

Exercise files associated with some course videos allow you to follow along with the instruction as you learn. Bookmarks help you keep track of what you have viewed as well as what you would like to view.  Type notes as you view the video source that are saved with that video in your Lynda.com account. Prioritize videos and track your progress.
