The Department of Foreign Languages is extremely grateful to the many alumni and friends who have donated funds to enhance our programs in so many ways. Such gifts are essential to our ability to provide unique instructional and culture opportunities to our students. Thank you all for your past and future support.
Ways to Give
If you would like to give a gift to the Department of Foreign Languages, there are a number ways to do so. You may wish to contribute to the various campaigns initiated throughout the year, such as the Telefund Appeal, or you may respond to our annual newsletter. Gifts may be given directly to the department by contacting our office at 217-581-3021, or you may donate through the EIU Office of Development.
Where Your Gift is Needed
When you make a gift to the department, you have the choice of designating it for a particular use. For example, you might wish to contribute to a particular scholarship fund or designate a particular project or cultural event that the department is supporting. You also have the option to give a general gift for the department to use where it is most needed. More often than not, such gifts are first used to fund the annual study abroad scholarships awarded to our majors out of our gift account.
