Director of Labor Relations
About the Position
Eastern Illinois University invites applications for the position of Director of Employee and Labor Relations. The Director assists in collective bargaining negotiations, contract interpretation and administration, and the administration of grievance procedures for union and non-union employees. In addition, the Director works with supervisors on employee performance issues. Responsibilities also include the development of strategic plan initiatives. A master’s degree is required. Competitive applicants will also have significant experience with collective bargaining as a lead negotiator preferably in a university setting. Applicants should explain or demonstrate their ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external contacts.
