The KSS Club is a registered student organization open to all students in our major concentration areas (exercise science, sport management, athletic training, and K-12 teacher certification). The club meets 1-2 times a month during the fall and spring semesters. The club has professional meetings and social meetings.
Professional meetings consist of guest speakers, group activities, and regular club business. Social meetings are designed for students in the club to interact with each other through physical activity, team sports, or individual challenges.
The club encourages its students to be active members of organizations within their discipline area and to attend conventions/workshop related to their field, specifically the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance annual convention (held every November in St. Charles, IL).
KSS Club also has a facebook page. Please LIKE us at EIU KSS Club Facebook page. The first 50 students to like us will be entered in a drawing for a free prize. Our facebook page will be updated with meeting dates, times, and locations. It’s also a great place to meet other Kinesiology students and to give us your thoughts/ideas for future meetings.
The KSS Club mission is to assemble KSS students into an organization dedicated to the advancement of all individuals by helping to create a better understanding of wellness and exercise; as well as establishing networks in the KSS profession.
