Here is a partial list of the type of careers our alumni build. 

Lola Burnham (‘83) is an associate professor of journalism at Eastern Illinois University, where she advises The Daily Eastern News and teaches editing courses. 

Ben Erwin ('04) is the Writing Center administrator at Syracuse University, where he also teaches a variety of composition courses.

Kevin Kenealy ('08) is an English teacher in the Crete-Monee School District.

Norm Lewis ('79) is an associate professor of journalism at the University of Florida. 

Amber Lusvardi ('03) is a lecturer of political science at Millikin University. She also runs the Model Illinois Government program at Richland Community College.

Matt Meinheit ('05) is the student media adviser at Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he also teaches journalism and photojournalism. 

Nicole Sherick ('01) is the newspaper adviser at Richards High School in Oak Lawl, Ill.

Nancy Yamin Smith ('86) is the journalism adviser at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Mo.
