SELF HELP - PantherMail
How do I setup my iOS device to connect to PantherMail via ActiveSync?
ActiveSync is only available to current employees. See available options for connecting to PantherMail in the 'How can I access my PantherMail?' self help article.
1. Choose the 'Settings' option on your device
2. Choose 'Mail, Contacts, and Calendars' on the left
3. Choose “Add Mail Account’
4 . Choose Microsoft Exchange
5. Fill out the information as follows:
- Email: email@example.com
- Domain: eiu.edu
- Username: EIU NetID
- Password: EIU password
- Description: Describe the account..i.e. PantherMail, EIU Mail, Email
6. Enter server information - imap.eiu.edu
7. Select if you want to turn features on or off
8. Click ‘Save’ in the top right and your account is set up
9. Use the Mail app to check your email. Use the iCal app to manage your calendar. Use the Contacts app to manage your address book.
