How do I change my password?
To change your EIU password, visit the website https://password.eiu.edu.
If you know your current password, you can sign in with your NetID and EIU password to change your password to something that meets EIU password strength requirements.
If you do not know your current password but have previously enrolled with the EIU Password Management Tool, you may visit https://password.eiu.edu and choose the Reset Password option.
To reset your password, you may send a verification code to a (previously registered) mobile phone or alternative email address by following the Reset Password wizard. Besides sending a code to your phone or email, you may also choose to answer your security questions in order to reset your password.
If you do not know your current password and have not previously enrolled with the EIU Password Management Tool, you must call 217-581-HELP with your E Number to verify your identity.
It is recommended to enroll in the EIU Password Management tool at https://password.eiu.edu when you know your current password to allow securely resetting your password or unlocking your account at any time of the day.
