INTRODUCTION

Dr Wang earned his Ph.D. from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Accounting at EIU, teaching both undergraduate and MBA accounting classes. Dr Wang's research investigates the use of accounting information in equity valuation in the stock market, and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. 

A former Big 4 auditor (Deloitte), Dr. Wang has travelled extensively around the world. He was born and raised in China but have studied, worked and lived in Ireland, New Zealand and Australia before coming to the US.  While in New Zealand and Australia, he taught accounting in elite universities such as the Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) and the Australian National University (ANU).

Dr. Wang is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). In 2012, he received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest CMA exam scores in the world. He currently serves on the CMA Exam Review committee of the Institute of Management Accountants.
