INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Eastern Illinois University and the Department of Health Studies.  As a graduate of our department, I encourage you to explore the many skill-based courses that make up our curriculum.  Our degree programs are some of the most flexible in regards to job opportunities.  Some of the positions I held before coming home to EIU were JTPA Special Project Director, Community Corrections Director, Community Planner, Housing Rehab Coordinator, Family Service Coordinator, and the Executive Director of the local chapter of the American Red Cross.  I am sure if you choose one of our major programs you will be able to find a job that meets your particular interests and passions as well.
