Carman Hall was named in the honor of Ruth Carman, a faculty member who taught Latin and German.  Ruth Carman was the first former student whom a campus building is named for.  Carman Hall was completed in 1970.  Carman will be closed for assessment beginning Summer 2013 (Press Release).
