The following scholarship are open to students in good standing in the Honors College.
The application forms for these scholarships will become active the first day of spring semester each year and will be due on Friday, 22 February at 12-noon.
Continuing Student Scholarship
The Continuing Students Scholarships are awarded to students in good standing in the Honors College who have a cumulative GPA of 3.40, or greater, and demonstrate the highest standards of academic integrity and personal character.
Applicants may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the award.
The award is non-renewable to the same individual more than once.
Students who are currently receiving a Presidential Scholars Award are not eligible for this scholarship.
Charles Austin Honors Scholarship (for study abroad)
The Charles Austin Honors Scholarship is awarded to an honor student in good standing who is planning to participate in a short-term, semester, or year-long study abroad program during any term.
Applicants may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the award.
The award is non-renewable to the same individual more than once.
Dorothy Davis Bunge Scholarship
The scholarship recipient shall be academically talented and successfully participating in the Eastern Illinois University Honors Program. The recipient shall be a resident of DuPage County, Illinois and shall be a full-time student who in the prior semester carried a full quota of hours and attained an GPA of 3.50.
Applicants may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the award, but must be a resident of DuPage County, Illinois.
The award is non-renewable to the same individual more than once.
First Neighborhood Bankshares, Inc. Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship shall be a continuing student who is already enrolled and active within the Honors College at Eastern Illinois University. The award selection occurs in the spring semester and the scholarship is issued in the fall semester.
Applicants may be a sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the award.
The award is non-renewable to the same individual more than once.
Rachel Richardson Scholarship
The award recipient must be successfully enrolled in the Honors Programs. This scholarship is issued in the fall.
Applicants may be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the award.
The award is non-renewable to the same individual more than once.
