Maren McKee
Maren McKee grew up in Naperville, IL. She received a BA in History with a Minor in Museum Studies from Luther College in Decorah, IA, in 2010. While in college she completed an internship at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum where she worked on the exhibit, 2010: The International Year of the Nurse and assisted the Collections Manager with an inventory project. This wonderful experience inspired her to continue pursuing a career in museums.
After graduation, Maren interned at the Byron Museum of History where she conducted an inventory of their collection, and the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society where she compiled research into a timeline commemorating Lake Forest’s sesquicentennial.
Maren decided to continue her education at Eastern Illinois University in the Historical Administration Program after researching different graduate programs in museum studies and related areas. She currently holds the Lincoln-Sargent Farm Foundation Graduate Assistantship. Click here to visit Maren's website.
