The Health Communication minor is an interdisciplinary minor that offers a combination of communication studies and health studies courses to students planning a career in health professions or public relations. It combines study of the health care industry, public policy and communication strategies.

Typical Starting Positions

Public health (e.g. health educators in nonprofit, government agencies, universities and communities), sales (e.g. pharmaceutical sales), social work, counseling, health and wellness-related advertising and PR, medical news reporting, organizational health communication (e.g. HR, Benefits, corporate wellness programs), working with older adults (e.g. management or program planners at retirement communities, community centers), healthcare professional
