Professional Awards and Honors 

Pat Phillips Marshall HA 81, AASLH WOW Award for Beyond the Veneer: Thomas Day, Master Cabinetmaker, 2011

Chris Carron received the American Alliance of Museum's Brooking Paper Competition on Creativity in Museums for his essay, "The Grand Race: Making the City a Museum Without Walls." published in the May/June (2010) issue of Museum.

Debbie Grinnell, HA '91, earned the “Museum Leaders” certificate from The Getty Leadership Institute (2006) and certification from The Project Management Institute (2013). Projects she has overseen at Naper Settlement have received awards from the American Association for State and Local History, Illinois Association of Museums, Illinois State Historical Society, American Cultural Resources Association, American Planning Association Illinois Chapter, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in conjunction with the Chicago Wilderness Foundation.
