EIU charges by the semester hour so you can use the formula below to caluclate tuition and fees
2008-2009 Tuition*
$218.00 in state ($654.00 out of state) X number of credits for both semesters
+ Textbook Rental $9.95 X number of credits for both sememsters
+ Campus Improvement $12 X number of credits for both sememsters
+ Fees ($1,584/year)

*Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan
Effective
Fall 2004, a new tuition policy for freshmen and transfer students was
implemented. This policy known as the Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan,
maintains your first-year tuition rate at EIU for four continuous academic
years and helps students and families plan for meeting the expenses of
going to college.
The Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan applies to tuition only and does not
cover fees, room and board or other college expenses. Click

Room and Board
Four options are available for room and board:*
