Fall 2008 Applications

We are currently accepting applications for summer and fall 2008. We have dropped our priority application date and returned to rolling admission for incoming students. Although there is not an application priority date, the general rule is the sooner the better.

Please be sure your students are filling out their applications properly. All paper applications must be signed and include the $30 application fee. Incomplete applications will be returned to the student and will delay processing.

Fall 2009 Applications
We will begin accepting applications for fall 2009 after August 1, 2008.

On-line application
Our on-line application requires students to create an account and pay their application fee on-line by credit card or on-line check. Paper applications are also available.

If you would like to be notified when your student applies online, please contact us via email and provide your name, email address and high school. Then when your student applies online a email will be sent directly to you. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Denise Lee at dalee@eiu.edu

Gateway applications
Effective fall 2006, we will no longer use a separate application for Gateway. On our new application there is a check box which students can mark if they want to be considered for the Gateway program. If you still have the old Gateway application, we will process them.

I've been admitted...What's next?

In an attempt to help admitted students stay on track to Eastern, we have created an admitted student checklist. This checklist contains steps the student will need to complete on their way to EIU.
