Dr. Marilyn Coles, professor of vocal music, serves as the graduate coordinator in the Department of Music. The graduate program offers a Master of Arts in Music with concentrations in conducting, performance and composition.
Dr. Coles is also the voice division director and teaches vocal literature and vocal diction in English, Italian, French and German. Her performance career has included singing opera and concerts in Europe (Germany, Italy, France, The Netherlands and England) as well as many U.S. cities. She received her doctorate from the University of Illinois.
Admission to the graduate program in music education requires an application to the Graduate School as well as an additional application to the Department of Music. Please contact Dr. Coles or visit the program's website for program admission criteria.
