Dr. Barbara Lawrence, professor of chemistry, currently serves as the coordinator of graduate study for the chemistry program. The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Chemistry.
Dr. Lawrence’s research interests are in the area of using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to study biological systems and molecular mechanisms of mechanical diversity in spider silks. She received her doctorate from the University of California-Irvine in 1991.
