FCS 4000 - Professional Focus of Family & Consumer Sciences

Course Description: FCS 4000: (2-0-2)

Professional integrative focus of the discipline of family and consumer sciences and preparation for professional practice.

Prerequisite: C or better in FCS 1000, FCS 2000, FCS 3000 and the completion of 90 hours.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate skills necessary to transition into a professional career.
  2. Analyze public policies related to family and consumer sciences professionals.
  3. Develop a personal philosophy of the integrative nature of the family and consumer sciences profession.
  4. Complete development of a professional portfolio.
