Many of the decisions affecting the success of a course take place well before the first day of class. Careful planning at the course design stage not only makes teaching easier and more enjoyable, it also facilitates student learning. As new faculty transition into teaching at Eastern Illinois University, Faculty Development invites new faculty to meet with senior faculty consultants and staff technologists to ask questions about various topics including course design, syllabus construction and online learning.
