About Us

The Office of Faculty Development will have the following office hours for the Spring 2018 semester: MWThF 9:30-12pm and Mondays 1-4pm. Please check your emails for upcoming alerts about successful Partnership Grants, Write-on-site information and Spring programs that will be offered for the semester. For more information, please contact our Faculty Development office (217-581-7051).

We especially would like to draw your attention to the following announcement for possible presenters and attendees for the Summer Faculty Summer Institute at the iHotel in Champaign May 16-17, 2018. Faculty Development will pay for the registration and most  of the travel for all presenters. And we plan on reimbursing the registration and some travel for all those attending (or those first registering up to our allotted budget for this). We will post directions on how to take advantage of this offer shortly. But the deadline to offer a pre-conference workshop is fast approaching.
Click here to see this online.

  • Take advantage of the 20-Minute Mentor podcasts and ancillary materials, available now on to all EIU faculty without a separate login at our Faculty Development d2l (Brightspace) page. (Note: the first time you click on the Magna Commons 20-Minute Mentors you will be asked to accept the terms of service which basically are to agree not to re-broadcast the videos. This is a one-time step that the service does not ask you to repeat).
  • To view your Faculty Development d2l "course" switch to "All Roles" to view it along with your other courses.
  • Please check out our ongoing groups and workshops below:
