Welcome to Faculty Development

Fac Dev on D2L

The Faculty Development course site within Brightspace (d2l) has been moved to the current semester (Spring 2018). The Fac Dev site is open to all faculty and gives access to news and information. Through this course site, all faculty teaching this semester can access the 20 Minute-Mentor Commons, a series of programs on refining and rethinking teaching face-to-face, online and blended courses, at both the individual course and the department/program level. If you are faculty, but not teaching this semester, and want to add this, email us

Spring 2018 Office Hours & Write-on-Site

The Office of Faculty Development is open Mon, Wed, & Fri 9:00-noon, Tues & Thurs 9:30-noon, and Mon  1:00-4:00. The Office is open for Write-on-Site [quiet time] Mon 1:00-4:00, Wed 9:00-noon, and Thurs 9:30-noon. Drop in any of those times, sign-in, help yourself to coffee, tea, or snacks, and write.

Support for Presenters and Attendees to Upcoming Faculty Summer Institute

We would like to draw your attention to the Call for Proposals for the Faculty Summer Institute at the iHotel in Champaign May 16-17, 2018. Faculty Development will pay for the registration and most travel for all presenters from Eastern Illinois. Also, we will reimburse the registration and some travel for all those attending (or those first registering, up to our allotted budget). Contact us for directions on how to take advantage of this offer, or complete a Travel Application and send to our Office.
