Jerry L. Daniels, tenor, holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Drake University, and has done Doctoral work in Voice Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Iowa. He taught at Loras College (5 yrs), Washington State University (3 yrs) and Eastern Illinois University (30 yrs) where he is currently Professor of Voice and Chair of the Music Department. Mr. Daniels performed professionally in opera, oratorio, musicals and recitals. He was a founding member of the Northwest Vocal Ensemble, a featured soloist with Connoisseur Concerts, a member of the Education Committee of the Seattle Opera, as well as a featured soloist with many orchestras. Mr. Daniels is well known as a teacher, with many former students prominent in the singing and teaching professions. He has been an active participant in NATS since 1973, serving on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Teaching of Singing, and as Convention Chair for the 1996 National Convention in St. Louis. During the summers of 2006 & 2007 he taught in Italy for The Itailian Operatic Experience.
