Literature, the Self, and the World: Fiction    0900-0950 MWF

We will study a number of significant works of literature (and some film) from diverse cultures and the ways in which they depict how we navigate our place in society and the world at large.  Our course will focus on themes of language and meaning, identity, and the formation of individual agency (action in the world) and ethics. (Group 5)
