Roxane Gay's research interests include how university faculty frame student writing and construct students as writers, the use of creative writing strategies in technical communication pedagogy, new media writing, and teaching with technology. Her fiction, nonfiction and criticism are widely published and appears or is forthcoming in Best American Short Stories 2012, Best Sex Writing 2012, New Stories from the Midwest 2011 and 2012, Virginia Quarterly Review, American Short Fiction, Oxford American, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Salon, The Rumpus, and others. She is also the author of Ayiti, a collection of fiction and essays about the Haitian diaspora experience.
